Service Description
Our Stump Removal service includes the following ; Call out ,Fuel, Machine Hire & Operator. we are able to travel 30 miles from base (Highclere, Newbury ) and will remove a tree stump up to 600mm across up to 150mm below ground level , then using the dozer blade on the machine level off the area leaving you stump free. Service Description: Single Tree Stump Removal Location: [Your Address / Within 30 miles of RG20 9SJ] Quantity: 1 x Tree Stump Maximum Diameter: Up to 600mm (measured at the widest point of the visible stump/root flare) Service Method: Professional stump grinding to approximately 150mm–200mm below ground level Site Access & Requirements To ensure a safe and efficient removal, the following site conditions must be met: Clearance: A minimum clear access width of 36 inches (915mm) is required for the grinding machinery to reach the stump. This includes gates, alleyways, and doorways. Incline: The path to the stump and the immediate work area must be relatively level. We cannot operate on slopes exceeding a 10% gradient (approx. 6 degrees). Ground Conditions: Ground must be firm enough to support the weight of the machine without significant sinking. Pre-Booking Checklist Please confirm the following "hidden" issues before booking to avoid additional surcharges or delays: Underground Utilities: Are there any known water pipes, gas lines, or electrical cables within 1 meter of the stump? (Customer is responsible for marking these). Obstructions: Is the stump adjacent to any brickwork, foundations, or decorative paving? Grinding too close to permanent structures carries specific risks. Debris: The area around the stump must be clear of rocks, bricks, or metal (like old fencing wire) which can damage grinding teeth. Waste Management: Standard pricing includes leaving the "grindings" (mulch) on-site in a neat pile. If full removal of the mulch is required, please specify for a revised quote. Liability Waiver & Limitations 1. Underground Utilities & Services The client is responsible for identifying and marking the location of all underground services, including but not limited to: gas pipes, water mains, electrical cables, irrigation systems, and fiber optic lines. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Site Access Policy 1. Standard Cancellation We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with >24 hours' notice: No charge. Cancellations with <24 hours' notice: A late-cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted work (or a minimum of £80) will be charged to cover lost scheduling and administrative costs. 2. Access & Site Readiness (The "Wasted Journey" Fee) The client is responsible for ensuring the site meets the requirements specified at the time of booking. Upon arrival, if the work cannot be carried out due to the following reasons, a Full Call-Out Fee (£100) will apply: Inadequate Access: Access width is less than the required 36 inches (915mm). Hazardous Terrain: Slopes exceeding a 10% gradient or ground that is too soft/boggy for safe machine operation (unless previously agreed upon via site visit). Unforeseen Obstructions: The presence of hidden metal, concrete, or underground utilities within the grinding zone that were not disclosed. Locked Gates/No Entry: If the technician cannot gain access to the stump at the scheduled time. 3. Adverse Weather In the event of extreme weather (heavy snow, flooding, or lightning), we reserve the right to reschedule for safety reasons. In these specific cases, no cancellation fees will apply to either party, and the work will be re-booked for the earliest available slot.
